Regenia earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and her master's degree from Kennesaw State University. She worked for many years in the field of education working with both general education and special education students. She currently resides in the state of Delaware where she founded ​R & J Services.

She debuted her writing career with the books, The Lyrics of Life: Executive Decisions, followed by Conversations: Woman to Woman. She has participated in various book festivals and signings.
